Cat Sun

bears, management, and people, oh My!

study the spatial patterns and genetic diversity of wildlife populations

I am from suburban Delaware, where I grew up playing in the backyard and digging in the garden. I kept crickets as pets and walked along train tracks on the Susquehanna River with my dad, collecting rocks, feathers, and other animal bits.

I love to travel, visiting national parks and wildlife systems to learn about the local science, conservation, and management.

I attended the University of Delaware and in 2010 obtained my Bachelors of Science in Biology with a Concentration in Ecology and Organismal Biology. In 2014, I received my MS in Natural Resources from Cornell University. In the spring of 2019, I will be completing my PhD at Cornell University, and will be seeking post-doctoral employment opportunities!
